I’m trying not to think about the new doctor I’m seeing tomorrow. I hate seeing new doctors, hate having to gauge whether they’ll listen to me or not, and hate having to go through my long medical history. To say it’s exhausting is an understatement, and these types of things really take a lot out of me.
On a brighter note, new blog! I’ve had blogs in the past, both on wordpress and elsewhere, but I’m going to try to keep up with this one. I don’t have a schedule or a plan right now. I want to write when I can and when I feel up to it- this is supposed to be fun after all. I’d love to get into my hobbies, and do what I’m calling ‘research dumps’, where I’ll talk about things I’ve been interested in and researching lately.
Anyways, ADHD under-stimulation has been kicking me in the butt recently. Nothing sounds interesting, and when I do get into something, I can’t truly get into it, and I just end up task-switching a bunch. I feel like a lot of people think ADHD is driven by an unstable routine, and while that’s partially true, when you don’t have work or school to ground you, it feels like everything’s lost. Without having many outside deadlines to hold me accountable, it feels like I just float aimlessly and get nothing done, but not for a lack of trying.
